Tall Post Bed

Tall Post Bed

This particular bed is made of walnut, with turned posts and blanket rail. Measures approximately 6 ˝" tall, 4 ˝" wide. Made generally in the Hepplewhite style of the late 1700's, early 1800's. All parts are mortise and tenoned together. $85 undressed; $100 dressed. The dresser makes a nice companion piece.

The bed dressings are of silk, except for the white pillows, which are covered with lace-edged lawn cases. Decorative pillows are silk with silk roses adorning the navy blue ones. Other styles available. See price above.

Replicated from a table found in the Harvard community about 1840. Legs are through-tenoned and pegged at top and bottom. Brace is through-tenoned into legs. Leg braces are pegged. 3-board top. $80 (featured in May issue of "Dollhouse Miniatures" magazine)

Pink Crib

The maple crib is dressed for a girl, but could be dressed to suit your décor. The railings are all hand-turned and the canopy is affixed to the bedposts by tiny ball turnings. The crib is available in maple, mahogany, walnut, cherry or stained basswood. $100

This table is copied from photos of those used in English taverns during the 1500's onward. The body is maple, the bands are mahogany. $50.

The cradle is painted, but could be made of other woods or stained basswood. All pieces are slotted and mortised and tenoned together. $75

The kitchen table sports a "tin" top, turned legs and a separated utensil drawer. Legs are mortised and tenoned into the table apron. $60

Blue Cupboard

The blue cupboard is made of aged wood, painted and sanded to its worn appearance. Pull knobs are hand-turned, shelves are inset. Copy of a generally homemade cupboard popular between 1780 and 1850. $50
